We've had a bit of demand for this for awhile so lets give it a shot and see what happens.
We're looking for people doing basic/common mods that are willing to take pictures and maybe write up a step by step guide.
If you are interested in writing a guide PM me to let me know. We might even be able to get some of this stuff done at a mod day so you can get some help wrenchin' in exchange.

Maybe instead of re-inventing the wheel, we can provide a definitive list of links to other how-to pages. Between the 'tex, Audizine, and Audiworld, it's been done before.

Why do i see post moderation ?
Because this is not a forum for discussion... It is an archive of information.
This should be a place to direct people so that they can find the information they are looking for. There shouldn't be anything to discuss and if there is, having it a moderated forum will at least bring issues to the moderators attention so content can be revised.
Please do not approve all of the messages within this forum. I am surprised to see these messages here.

I have a CarPC install coming up. Should be generic as to the wiring and stuff (since it's not in a vw). I have an aftermarket stereo anyway. I'll post it up and let you guys decide.
