Just wanted to announce that our cars will be featured at the Fashion Valley Mall's Center Court (in front of Macy's) starting Tuesday, August 31, thru Monday, September 5, 2004.
Our 2004 E500 project car is now 96% complete and will be unveiled to the public inside San Diego's upscale shopping mall. It will be accompanied by our 408-hp C55 AMG (MY 2005) and will be presented by Carlsson North America in partnership with Mercedes Benz of San Diego.
We have given a sneak peek to these two cars in one of the Fusion meets about a month ago. Back then the cars were only about 40% complete.
Be sure to stop by and say hello!
Here is the build sheet for the 2004 E500:

Yeah, but at least with an air intake you could claim "The.. unique airflow dynamics creates a swirling, fast-burn effect in the combustion chamber. This creates finer particles (atomized fuel), allowing better flame propagation and more complete combustion."
A light up door sill, on the other hand, is $10 worth of bulbs and wire and 15 minutes soldering.

worst part to me is that the car looks ugly =\

Take note that the dealer charges 6.5 hours of labor at $95/hr to install the 2 front sill plates.
The MB sill plates are very complex but well made. Logic circuitry, and integrates with the SAM control unit that's already on the vehicle. On and off functions, including gradual turning off are computer controlled, not by switch.

How about we just go out and spend save the $$ and buy a Lotus Elise and a Lexus IS300 commuter ;) Thats only $70k for 2 cars ;)
And both will give you best of both worlds, Lotus Elise will give you best handling, and the Is300 can spend $10k and get 600whp ;) in a lil commuter car and still be under $80k for 2 cars :)
2 is better than 1, sometimes ;)
