I finally got a chance to take a moon pic.

I got my 2x telephoto converter this week and just been waiting for the moon to show it's face. Here is the result. F8 1/10th sec. It's a huge improvement. Can't wait for a full moon!

well I've been using the digital zoom, they look hella good on the lcd on the camera...but after uploading them, they look like shit on the monitor =( Stick with the regular zoom bro.

Yes, use a tripod. Also with the moon you have to kinda trick the camera. Set the exposure for like 1/10th sec or somewhere @ there. With a full moon I have to set it at like 1/125 sec. You would think to just set it for a couple seconds to catch all the light, but the moon just turns out a white blob like that.

What Kenko 2x teleconverter are you using? KRT-20 Pro?
It's the Kenko KNT20 teleconverter. Not the Pro as far as I know. I got it for $65 from B&H. Also no I didn't use digital zoom. Digital zoom is basically a gimmick don't use it. I did do some cropping though, the teleconverter isn't exactly a telescope. :p I can't wait for a full moon!

Nice job on the contrails shot, Manny. I can't take credit for that, It was shot with a cam like mine but was hooked up to some crazy lens. Got it off the Fugi site www.s5000.net. Starting to learn a lil bit about what i can and cant do and what I can buy to upgrade my cam.
