Hey... my brother-in-law is in a Black Metal Band. Most of these bands are from europe. I know of only one from the Los Angeles area.

I guess most people on here don't care for this kind of music. I kinda dig it .. not cuz my bro-in-law is in a band that plays this type of music... but cuz it makes for good Muay Thai workout music :)

I love the music itself (heaviest metal you can find) but I can't stand the vocal style. The closest I'll get to black/death metal is Napalm Death or Bolt Thrower (best guitar work ever), but the rest of it I find absolutely ridiculous.

Funny thing is I liked ND and B.T. way back in early high school, and even though I've gone through everything since (Trance, drum and bass, trip hop, etc) I still have love for the real good metal bands.

Plus, their lyrics usually involve social/political issues, not songs about drinking the blood of slain goats.
