To crop, or not to crop?

Ok, I cropped a random picture I took and was wondering if there could have been a better crop from it. Or how would you have cropped the original? Here is my cropped image.

Hmmm, that's a tough one manny, The only thing wrong with the first one, is that it looks like there is too much of the leaves up top, where in the cropped one, it looks like it is supposed to me there. That is my only thing for my decision.

I would crop it from right in front of the ear (side) right under the start of the "hair" (top)
So basically, all you'll see is a close-up face.
