Very nice. What did you have before Paul? D20? How does the D200 compare to your previous camera?

Hey Paul,
Nice new camera!
While I was in JAPAN I went to a big electronics store, BIG!
They had a Nikon D2HX, it was really expensive, IIRC something like 350,000yen. Which is around 3000 dollars or more. The D200 was cheaper than that. What's the difference?

sell me the d2h :p
D2X = 5,000 12.6mp camera high speed 8 frames per second @ 6mp, fastest AF system on the market. It's a professional camera with no built in flash, magnesium frame. Big sports photographer camera.
D2hs = 3200 4mp, 8fps, see above.
D200 = 1700 10.2mp camera 5FPS, fairly fast AF, magnesium frame, built in flash, no built in vertical grip. Other differences. Low end pro, top end prosumer.

But the one I saw was a D2HX, is that one like uber special? LOL
D2Hs most likely Joe. Unless in Japan they replaced S with X.

i think most of the Nikon lineup has a (S) addition, basically a (im guessing) are updated/revived versions
for example, I got the Nikon D70, but they had an updated D70S which had some minor additions/fixes for the camera ... and i believe they did this with some of the other Nikon's
