Exotic cars, automotive enthusiasts and a charity promotion brought over 1000 high-end cars to Westlake Village, California for the 2nd annual Motor for Toys event. Hosted by the same group that puts on the monthly Village Coffee Roaster meet. The attendance of European car fans from all over southern California made for a very large showing of rare cars, including a Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, a Mercedes SLR McLaren, two Ferrari F40’s, a Porsche 993 GT Speed Vision Cup car, and a slew of others that you had to see to believe. If it was a high end European car more than likely it was on display. Sharing the parking lot with the European enthusiasts were a small number of ‘60s era muscle cars as well as a very large number of Corvettes from the Southern California Corvette car club. It didn’t seem to matter what kind of an automotive enthusiast you were, as there was something for everyone.

As the day progressed the crowd grew larger and the number of toys donated became abundant. For every toy someone donated they were given a raffle ticket for prizes that were donated by local vendors as well as some major so-cal performance shops. At mid day the large crowd started to disperse. Volkswagen and Audi fans were given the chance to check out well known tuner Neuspeed and their 18,000 square foot facility, as well as take part in a special warehouse sale they had going for that day. Stay tuned for an upcoming article on the Neuspeed facility and my interview I had with CEO Bill Neumann in the future.

This was a great event, there were plenty of amazing exotics on hand for the average enthusiast to drool over and let us dream about the day of possibly owning one of these rare machines. I’m looking forward to next year and a chance to see what rare cars people bring out of their garage.

May I suggest one edit.

It's Village Coffee Roaster as opposed to Village Coffee Roadster.

Hope this helps!
