enterprise has a "weekend special".....you get the whole car for the weekend for like $10/day...don't forget the $8.99/day damage waiver though.

Sorry, no truck classes will be run at this event due to the surfaces we encounter. That includes your stock F150, or a SCORE Trophy Truck. The event organizers want to keep the surface in good condition and not too rutty, in hopes we can use it again.

The event organizer has decided after pre-running the course in both a Rally 4wd and a modified 4wd Truck that the use of trucks at this event would be detremental to the integrity of the course and racing surface. That is his decision, and will hold as long as we are running at Del Mar. This is a modified rule only specifically for this event. Also, keep in mind that this is not on an abandoned field-- it is a spare training lot and track for the horse racers, and we musn't "tear up" the track more than necessary.

We haven't had a rallyx since early fall!

Glad to see they are letting trucks too. The Bilstein guy (can't remember is name, but he's a really good autoxer too) always throws down a fast time in his F150 complete with tool box thing in the bed :D

as i understand it, no.

it's just like an autox, so there shouldn't be a fee to watch....i think there may be a fee to ride along...but i doubt it.

ionno....leaving my house around 6:45ish (that means 7:15)...starts at 7....i'll be in 2wd stock so i figure somewhere in the middle of the run but before the trucks....come down, i need a photgrapher :)

worst-run event evAr!!!!!!.....they split the run groups so you get 2 runs and 1 run later in the day...and then they let the LARGEST run group run all 3 at the same time...that group alone lasted almost 4 hours (still going after i left!)....

so now, i woulda been 2nd or 3rd (maybe even 1st) in my RENTAL corolla....but no, because i had to be back in irvine to return it before 5....pretty lame. i will not go to this event again.

my issue wasn't the WAY it was run...my issue is that they were NOT consistant with all classes....the open/truck class got to run all 3 runs at the same time...which made that run-group SUPER long and unfair to the rest of the run groups.

it was fun, though...i'm gonna sign up for the rally school in feb and gonna start shopping for a fwd or rwd light, old car.
