Awesome shots bro!!! great composition, your a natural. did you process these and what did you use?
I love the colors, this is a great shot. Did you do a lot of post processing? Saturation is a bit high it seems but doesn't detract from the dark blue in the sky. Well done!

thanks guys! .. great words of encourgament. i've been 'frustrated' at my results - idon't think they're great.. i only get 1 shot im pleased wiht out of literally 400 that i take.
anyways, some info:
1) yes all those pictures have been touched up in photoshop. i believe it is almost necessary to just boost some saturation levels or expand some colors and do some sharpening. also some of those pictures require some special image combination to achieve their effects.
2) paul, yes the saturation was boosted way way up - it was shot durin the storm a few weeks ago here in socal using a 80sec shutter or so. i was trying to go for the fake effect where the car would pop out of the scene so i guess it did kind of do that.
k thats all. hope to be able to post more =)

Well damn...80 second shutter. I guess I'll never get that kind of shot from my cam. mine only tops off at 15 sec. And I know what you mean about shooting 400:1 pix. So glad we don't use film ay? What camera you packin?

haha yea it was 72 seconds you exif snooper!!! =) but there are several layers on there .. some are like 90 seconds.
im using a 350d. honestly, the 350d is way more than i'd ever need. i used to think i needed 20d or or d70 from nikon but its so much more about skills than your camera.. ofcourse lens and everything help what you can do, but im more than happy with the 350d and glad i didn't get greedy and get a 20d
2 more
http://pifiu.com/bronfufu/jan/IMG_2169.jpg don't relalyl ike this one too much but i love how pitch black scenes can come out like daylight
also, 350d only has 30sec shutter but hten you have BULB MODE!! only the awesoemstost coolest thing in the universe.

Ditto. I'm also saving for a 20d. I'm waiting to see if Canon is replacing it this spring with something new that way the prices for it will go down.

Totally agree. Unless you're planning on doing alot of fast moving action shots, you won't need the 20D.
You've got some really nice shits....I mean shots. :p That first one is a winner, I just wish the car was a little brighter.
Are you using a pocket wizard or remote release for your bulb shots? Or are you just standing there with your finger on the button?

Remote for 20 bucks? I was talking about the canon remote release that allows you to set how long you want the shutter to stay open for. It sells for around $130. Which remote are you talking about?
