Pro: stiffer and will make the motor have less flex on throttle, giving you better motor response
Cons: stiffer means possible noiser vibrations

Unless you are auto-xing or road racing, in my opinion they are not worth it. As a direct result of my energy suspension dog bone bushings, my car vibrates more at idle and excessively more when the AC is on. However, while moving it is not noticable.

the more your motor flexes to more horse power is lost in acceleration. This is also true everytime you shift to that next gear. It is definately a plus when drag racing. I got a set put out by neuspeed. I enjoy the response. The shaking and rattling is very noticable however not very annoying you can get used to it.

Is there anything in the medium? Between stock and polyurethane?

Look for different durometer ratings from different manufacturers and you can find a feel you like.
Also, for those of you with vibrations, you can raise your idle a little in vag to smooth it out a bit.
Some of the TT guys just change the one big bushing to the Energy Suspension bushing so they get a little more firmness but not so much its too stiff. Added bonus, the energy suspension bushing is only like 20 bucks.

your engine will rock less upon WOT but all the vibrations will be transferred to the chassis. Hardly worth the effort unless your engine is pumping out much more power up from stock

Well... i had them installed.... And yes i vibrate more at idle.
And for some reason it engine is louder... which i dont mind..
Ride is still smooth (well at least for my car)
Launching is great!! but i can feell a slight lost in acceaeration power,, but thats why i have a manual to down shift!!! hahaha
I like.. Manny, u will love vibrating!!!! I do.. hehehe

You shouldn't be feeling any loss in acceleration. If anything you should feel a little gain from the reduced slop.
How much louder is your engine? They might have knocked a boost hose off its seat when they installed the mounts.

PowerFlex is around $30 shipped for the two commonly replaced mounts (there are three total). After install, my steering wheel vibrates at idle, but nothing annoying -- it's just visible to the eye. My A/C has always vibrated ridiculously, no change there.
