alright, here my problem.......

i just bought some wheels, one is perfect, but the other three arent. the clear coat of the three imperfect ones is peeling, and dirt and stuff seems to have gotten inbetwee the clear and the metal on the wheels.....

only one has been curbed, but they all have minor scratches and imperfections, and im 95% sure that most of these imperfections are due to the dirt and grime under the clear or stuck to the bare metal. the curbed one is the worst, and the clear has compleately peeled off the lip, so the lip is pretty rough and dull.....

the powder coat places say the prices depend on how much

now heres the deal, i want to powder coat the centers flat black and polish the lip on all of them, what the cheapest/ best way to go about this?

oh, p.s., sorry i cant post any pictures, i left my digi cam back home in hawaii...... and i cant get it back untill april.....

oh i didnt explain the pros/cons of each.... and ill will have to sand blast the one perfect one.

1) pro: possibly the least expensive,
con: possible imperfections in spokes might show through powder coat.

2)pro:ensures that they will all look perfect, skips sand blasting, which, according to the powder coaters ive spoken to, would make powder coating cheaper.
con)possibly the most expinsive, i could possibly be spending money i dont need to be spending.

3) pro: could help me make a better decision
con: possibly the most time consuming/ expensive

4) pro: i enjoy some emo music from time to time
con: i will have to buy more cd's

I'm of the opinion that an informed decision is a good thing. Sandblast them and see what you're dealing with first.

I agree. No sense in spending money on refinishing the wheels if you don't have a good idea of the extent of the damage first.
