VF-Engineering announces the release of its high boost systems for the VW MK4 chassis.
Models: MK4 VR6 12v / 24v & R32
Having just completed successful testing of its 12 psi R32 high boost kit, VF's stage 3 kit for the R32 yields an increase of 210hp and 140ftlbs over stock, the same setup is being created for the 12V and 24V. The R32 is taken from 240 to 450hp and 230 to 370 ftlbs of torque at the flywheel. More information on the R32 kit can be found at http://www.vf-engineering.com/kit_vw_r32us.php
VF lowered the compression ratio of the R32 with an OEM quality replacement gasket kit and headware by 1.3 points and coupled that with a calculated boost increase to provide an optimal dynamic compression ratio for knee-trembling performance. Direct drop-in high flow fuel pump, larger direct drop in OEM fuel injectors and an 8-ribbed serpentine belt driven off a bolt on VF-CNC machined crank pulley spin the Vortech V9 to deliver the charge. VF's overkill air-air bar and plate intercooler with cast end tanks keeps the charge temps in check while remaining underutilized in this application.
More information on a revised pricing and packaging options will be released in April alongside test results from VF's 16 psi MK4 12v and 24v demo cars. Product release expected April 06.
Oh honey look what I found on Vortex... ;)
