Because of the "off and on" rains this week work has been kinda slow....so now was the perfect time for me to tear out the inside of my detailing rig and get some fresh paint on the walls. What started out to be a single prime and 3 coats of flat gray turned into a 3 color paint job with a ton of taping and waiting!!!

This is what it looked like when I purchased it.

Then added some vinyl

Primed the entire inside after gutting it of all my equipment and chemicals

After about 1.5 hours the primer was dry and ready for the first tape off and coat of flat black on the roof and 1/4 down the side. Put about 3 coats of black on.

After the black was all done drying, I could start taping for the next color in my plotted scheme.

After all that taping and measuring, it was finally time for some gray baby!

At this point it was getting damn cold and dark, I was in the need of some paint drying asistance! Some heavy lighting and a portable heater did the job. Put on about 2 coats of gray.

After that was completely dry, it was time to move on to the high gloss Spectrum Blue! So I retaped and went at it.

After the 3 coats of blue dried, I taped again to finish off the black on the lowers. It was pretty late now so I decided to close up and let it bake for the rest of the night. I started again early morning with some touch-ups and got the floor prepped.

Here it is almost complete with the floor needing another coat and to finish off the shelf unit.

:D Yeah I did! A couple times I felt like I was gonna pass out. It was tough getting good air flow in there.... I survived though!
