Trabuco/Santiago canyon is a really short one, but its really fun.

Ortega is, of course, a very fun one when it isnt lined with cops.

Malibu canyon is pretty sweet, especially on a nice summer morning. But its pretty far for most of us I would imagine.

Theres quite a few around temecula that are pretty sweet too but I dunno the names at all.

umm, thats all I can think of right now.

Mulholland highway is fun. see a lot of bikes in one section.

all those roads in the Santa Monica Mountain Range.

Turnbull rd in whittier is kind of short but technical. i go there after school sometimes.

angeles creast highway and Mount Wilson , not a canyon tho. very technical really fun at night when i did some runs with friends during my Honda days. Me and a couple of friends crashed are cars there.

i think having Ortega lined with cops is justified considering how many people have died/ had accidents on that road

I like to follow mountain ave up to the top of mount baldy, and there are some cool one lane fire roads that branch off of it, just beware of those damn people who think fun is riding a bicycle around on canyon roads.

I also like the 23 from Malibu to westlake village.

also the Kern Canyon north/east of bakersfield is fun in the wee hours

As far as the ones in the link, Mulholland is too crowded, and full of cops and bikes, unless its the wee hours
Never been on #2
Palos Verdes Dr. East is fun, hardly any cops, but is really short, but has a nice scenic drive to/from

Decker - Mullholland - Malibu Cyn
Decker is top on my list to Malibu.
Mullholland has to much traffic now and the roads suck.
Malibu Canyon has to much traffic.............

I've driven up to Pala Casino- but never in the S4.. Cant wait to make that run..lots of twisties...

Ran from Pechanga to Pala, then from Pala to Rice canyon to Rainbow Valley this morning.

Rice canyon was a blast, just long enough with a great mix of twisties, tight pins and speed.

Sounds like a recipe for the next Temecula Meet (& cruise) :smokem:

I charged trabuco canyon from cooks corner to Holy Jims at a pretty good clip the other night...

note: once your ceramic brake pads are up to temp, they grip strong enough to lock up the rears with very little effort...

Not sure if you'd consider it a canyon...

I do work in our Palm springs office every now and then, and take the 74 Highway home... VERY windy road and fun to drive. keep it in 3rd the whole way up and zip around the turns =)

Just got back from Northern California, I also thought the 152 W (to san jose) from the 5 North was a great drive. Not sure what body of water i passed but it was definitely breathetaking....

Mesa Grande Road. 'nuff said.

That is definately my favorite road by far, too bad it's way the heck out there or I'd drive it every weekend.

Here's a link (http://www.lateralg.org/sandiego.htm#4) to Lateral G's description of it.

S6 & S7 (Palomar) are also really fun, I go up the mountain on S6 and down on S7 as I couldn't imagine going down the mountain on S6 - you'd probably fly off the edge of the road down the mountain.

Montezuma Valley Rd is another fun one, but I'd recommend you take that from Borrego Springs towards Temecula rather than the other way round - and for the same reason you take S6 up Palomar Mountain.

Yaqui Pass Rd. is OK, it's a little too twisty to get much speed up though.

Hwy 78 (from Yaqui Pass Rd. to Santa Ysabel) is extremely fun as well.

One road that hasn't been mentioned in this thread that's an absolute blast is Tuna Cyn Rd. (http://www.lateralg.org/malibu.htm#3) in Malibu, it's a one way road down the Malibu Mountains wide enough to correct mistakes so you can really get some speed up... even a few lookout points along the way.
