i'd be able to help you with the install but my dad's non-running camry is taking up half of the garage at the moment.

Hey Girard,

Would you be willing to do a weekend install on my friends MKIV Golf? We don't really have the know how or the tools. We'll pay for serices and even contribute some elbow grease. Let me know.

Thanks,
Gene

BTW- Just out of curiosity, what does AJ-USA charge for a suspension install?

i can do the install on your friend's golf too. AJ-USA charges $85 an hour for labor. i think the labor calculator says it's a 2hr job, so they'll charge $170. PM me if you want more info.

yea if Girard is down I'll help out on the second car also  try and get this all done in a jiffy :) GTG/tech day reminds me of the old school days when dubbers help dubbers and people weren't afraid to get dirty and learn

Is there a DIY Mk4 suspension install thread somewhere that we can learn from?

I've done more Mk2 suspensions than I can think of, but haven't messed with the suspension on my Mk4 yet. Is it much different?

Big thanks to Girard  still are great dubberes out there willing to really help out! My Koni yellows are in! and feel great! 1/4" from full soft in the rear and I dialed the fronts up to 1 full turn from full soft

things I learned?
3 eastcoast winters = impact gun or breaker bar on every bolt!

breaker bar > impact gun

rear shock tops can be taken off easier with a pair of channel locks and vise grips than an impact gun...

The line at Kono's is worse at 8:30am than 11am
