The drive home was a tad stressfull, you know, rain and fog and race tires=
The worst was actually the last 10 miles with alot of rain!

No car to drive. I don't want to put anymore abuse on my VR and I would rather put the $500 for theweekend toward getting my rabbit going.
I will be there w/Andres and will be helping around the track.
Andy, will you be taking pics?
Probably. I have just a standard digital camera and I will use it. It is not a DSLR, but will work. It takes good photos.

Hey, If this is your very first time going there, be sure to get in the beginner group so you can quickly learn the track. Then later on, depending on how your feeling about it and how they think your driving is going, you can move up to the advanced group.

Thanks for the tip Shawn! It is my very first time and I'll be sticking to the beginner group at first with Dan and Tracy. We'll see how things go from there ...

I can take shots for you no problem. My camera is a pretty nice Sony 5 mega pixel, but I still prefer better for the track.
Just find me in the parking lot of the Nugget Friday night.

Anyone got room for two underachieving future firefighters in their room for the weekend? Apparently Pahrump is all but booked with the exception of two rooms each at $98 a night. :bs:

Did you say Racerfactory at the Nugget? They do release the rooms a week ago, but usually there's something left!

I did ... the Nugget says they're completely out of rooms on Friday and limited availability on Saturday that it's $93 for a room.

Damn, that track looks awesome! I'll check out the link when we get home... We decided to stay the night in Pahrump, and tried to leave this morning. Got about 10 miles south of Baker when traffic came to a stop. SB 15 is shut down, so we're camping at the Starbucks in Baker right now. Blah :(
Oh well, shit happens. Had a great time this weekend. A bit sore and tired, but definitely hooked! The M3 performed very well and was an absolute blast to drive. :smokem:
Props to Julie, Andy, and Andres for all the instruction and advice.

We made a break for it around 5:30 yesterday afternoon. We still sat in an hour's worth of stop-and-go traffic but we made it home around 9:30 last night.

Well it ended up taking us 12.5 hours to get home when it should have taken less than 5.

Oh shit. yeah, that is pretty bad.
5:30 must have been from Baker correct? I think you guys may have the record for the longest return trip.
