well if it's like most cars, look for some screws on the door panel and remove those. obviously most of them will be hidden IE under armrests or in the door handles. then once those are off, it should be clips holding the door panel onto the frame which you just yank off. there are also clip remover tools if you're maticulate about that kind of stuff, but unnecessary imo.

If you need any help, let me know. I have had to change the window regulators in my MK3 before. You will need a torx (star pattern) for the door panel, I belive there are six of them . Underneath the hand grab trim there is a phillps head screw. I can't remember but I think you need to remove in the door also. The real pain is the plastic vapor barrier that is glued to the door.
i remember i had both window regulators go bad in my jetta days apart, then 2 weeks later one of the rears went bad---costly repair!!!......its not hard to remove the panels

seriously... it saved my life when I had my Jetta
Also, when I had to pull mine for the regulator, I didn't need a torx, I just needed an allen wrench... worked like a charm.

yeah allen wrench will work as well, just make sure to not strip the torx bolts by going crazy.
