Hey Guys,

My brother is thinking of trading in his Z71 Tahoe and getting a 20th Aniversary GTI, do to recient and ongoing gas prices. He's looking at a black one with 23,000 miles at his local dealer, and they want $17k for it.

Do these cars have any problems or reliability issues, and what kind of gas do you guys really get? I know Audi/VW's kick ass in general, but I wanted to get some input from the Dubbers perspective. Thanks

not too many, but its got some common vw traits

with the 1.8t, coilpacks, but that year should be fine

DV potentially goes, window regulator, the soft touch plastic can peel

seems like similar issues with Audi too

but nothing really major

They are actually pretty reliable becuase most of the bugs had been worked out by the time they came out. My guess is gas mileage around 24 up to 27 depending on driving.
