I'm not sure about the forge, but with a good CAI and a Turbo XS diverter valve its rather loud with the window down and still pretty noticable with the windows up. I am sure someone will chime in with a forge version.

i think one is piston type and ones uses diaphram, but im not sure about that one, someone will post the difference
i got the EvoMS DV and had the Forge one, both have a lil pssh, even witht he stock airbox and drop in filter, well not loud, barely noticable ;)

I think forge is developing some new DV's right now, soon to be released if I am not mistaken.

i have the 007 diaphragm type and it's pretty loud, not too loud as to sounds retarded.. i have a short ram cai and it's cool but when i had the full piping for the cai it was REALLY loud :smokem:

yeah i'm pretty sure i have the diapragm one with an injen cai and i don't hear it anymore. but i'm running it in reverse. it was supposed to make it more audible, but i don't hear it. i just hear my cai. but the dv is not broken. i don't think it's broken cause i've always lubed it up at every oil change.

last i read up, i had heard that running the 007 reverse could damage your engine.. like i said "what i heard"

I didn't think you could run a diaphragm valve in reverse so maybe thats the deal. Depends on the design of the valve though. Most diaphram valves can only work properly in one direction.
I have no idea how running the piston type in either direction would matter. its opened or closed. The only difference is that if you have the boost coming in through the side it puts a sideways force on the piston and could cause it to not seat properly. Coming in from the bottom its pushing right up against the spring which may not have a high enough rate to keep the valve shut under high boost.

Well they are the ones that designed it so I'm not going to argue. :)

Thats the same one I have but they are saying you get a chirp if you run it reverse, is this true? I have changed the orentiation of the valve since it causes stress on the TIP so I relocated it to the other side of the hose and a elbow was installed where the pipe use to be. If its a chirp I would be curious to see how it sounds.

Ok I just tried that and it was quieter, if you run it the other direction it sounds more powerful and has a noticable chirp compared to the way you are running it right now. Might want to try it the other way. Pics to follow after Dinner.

Also if you can't mount your cover and want to I can modify yours to fit the DV so it looks better. That way you don't have the wires everywhere and such.
Pics still coming.
