So recently I've been dealing with a lot of mechanical issues on my car, but this new one has me stumped...

I recently have had my MAF fail (again) and after I replaced the unit and cleared the codes I noticed that my ASR light would not reset.

The ASR light started to stay on after my car bucked hard on the freeway, but after talking to a few people I figured it probably was related to my MAF. Around the same time the climate control in my car went out as well.

Has anyone out there experienced anything similar?
Anyone have any idea where to start with this one?

What MAF did you use? Was it the proper one or did you use the 2.0 maf element? My car didn't like the 2.0 element.

How do you mean your climate control went out? If it was your A/C... Maybe your compressor clutch is bad. If it is dragging or sticking you might get some bucking, roughness, or rich running. If your cluster just stopped lighting up or something, fuses are always the cheapest so they are always the first to check. If you find a blown one and no reason it would have blown, try replacing it.

The ASR light will come on sometimes before the MAF throws a code because the MAF is used in its engine load calculation. You could have a bad MAF for a long ass time and not throw any codes. You can also have a MAF go bad in such a way that it only balks in certain RPM ranges.

an old car of mine used to buck hard on the freeway on acceleration due to a/f ratios.
