But more importantly, I pitted next to a new Ford GT. What a beautiful car. Fit and finish, quality of craftsmanship......
what a fine car. Im NOT a ford guy, but id have one of these.

At one point they removed the RR wheel and set it near my car. So I had to spin it around and match it up on the car.

I can say that I have now passed, on a track and at race speed, a real GT40.

I think everyone passed him. He was taking it easy, terrified to go off track in the car. He got faster as he gained more track time but in the end, was still slow.

In fact, an instructer driving a Mercedes SLK told me that he was bragging to his passenger how he can now boast that he passed a GT on a track. Then when I passed him in the Beetle and his passenger said, "yeah but YOU just got passed by a Beetle"! :D
