ok my brake light swith that touches the pedal to turn the lights off is sticking... what is the easiest way to fix this? also how easy would it be to replace and how much are they to buy new? please any suggestions would help.. The lights stay on but if i press in on the switch they go off... so i know its that....

spray some carb cleaner a few times, let it dry.

the cleaner wont deteriorate the wires? shit i cant find anything bout this in any posts

no it doesnt seem to really be sticking at all it just isnt reseating all the way.. im going to clean it and try that...

they must have a spring inside and if its broken it wont go all the way back, try to clean it and if it doesnt work just get a new one

well i cleaned it that didnt work i also took it all the way out the pin goes halfway in the wont go in further without alot of pressure... is there a vw parts store open on saturdays?

Its about 15 bucks. I'm on my third. Its a common problem.
