Now What!?!?! I found a baby...

There it was, tiny and on a pile of cloths in the garage. I thought it was dead, but he moved when i touched him. i pick it up and he curled in to a ball. I put him in a little cage i had with some of my farits food and very little water. but i dont think he would know what water was. its just a baby, eyes and ears are still shut.

What should i do? take it to a vet or the human sociality ?

His is just a tiny baby... i dont what to kill him.

I'd suggest a wild animal Vet. I know back in Mississippi my mom's vet specializes in exotic animals and always has a hodge podge of creatures. Last time he had a baby racoon and 2 owls in his kennals. The racoon was found by people, the larger owl had what looked like a catarac on his left eye and the little tiny owl is a rehab patient of the Vet's.

uh ... you do realize.. having a baby mouse = lots more mice... odds are the mother is still around and you just took the baby from her :P that said, you have mice, probably lots of them.

Sooner or later mom is going to get killed by the 50 traps we have in the garage... I just cant hurt the little guy. I'd make it a pet if i had the time to take care of it.

I've had rats before. So owning a rodent is nothing new. I just dont have time to nurse a baby.

I called the humane scoasity this morning, they are sending some one out to pick it up.


It drank some milk today and he's running all over the tank. He's not weak. He just needs some one to take care of it.

agreed I once stomed a mouse on my apt in boston! lill fucker ran right into my foot as I turned the lights on.....and SPLAT! it was gross!

I must have killed 20-30 mice in that apt! oh the good Ol days
