UGH!!! Stellar...just STELLAR!

So I was running early today and decided to get my coffee and stop by the carwash at the Mobile gas station those hands-free situations....well I'm almost done with the whole wash when suddenly the thing comes from the back of my car spraying stuff and the water tube comes in front of my passenger mirror and continues to move foward and pulls my mirror with it :mad: . So my mirror hangs and to be safe I let the wash come to a stop and I pull out to the front of the gas station and tell them what happened. I have to go through Mobile now with papwerwork and crap and try to get THEM to pay for it because I have a $500 deductible. The VW dealership estimated it at $415 :tdown: . SO now the fight is ON with Mobile....:mad: GGGRRRRR!!!!!!!!! SO not my week this week...OR last week for that matter!!!:bs:

I understand We all get lazy every once in a while but honestly save the money and stay away from those car washes. I lost an antenna once. haven't been back since. (Maybe Twice)

But you should be covered with little problems. I just hope the paper trail isn't redicilous

I ALWAYS go to the SAME 100% hand-wash carwash on Crown Valley where they do an excellent job. BUT today I didn't have time for that and decided stopped by for a quick wash since I was already getting gas and the car was looking REALLY bad....LESSON LEARNED! :mad:

HAHA. Seriously, there is no rebuttle in existence to counter that point. A 'touch-free" car wash should be just that. Touch free!! Hope all works out. Let us know if they try to make up some BS to get out of this.

My mom was a gas station manager an when stuff happened like these the people would always get there stuff fixed with no cost to them!! So i would do the paper work dont let them BS wit you u shouldn't have to pay any thing get some free gas to!!!!!! HAHAHAHA

Wow as if the whole situation wasn't bad enough with my son and then the mirror thing this morning....I just found out from my HR that I very well may lose my job for when I take time off for my son's surgery because they are not obligated to hold it for me. I used up all my sick days and vacation days last week when he was sick with pneumonia and I don't qualify for the Family Leave with the company because you need 12 months there which I DO meet unofficially. I've been with the company from Jan 2005 - September 2005 as a temp and then was hired and time with the company doesn't count until I was officially hired. Once again when I was told about losing my job I just laughed....they didn't know what I was laughing at but I just laughed.....this blows!!! :bs: Oh yea and the sole of my left shoe broke so I am wearing Crazy-Glued shoes with a duct-taped car....how stellar am I? :(

all you need to do is replace the inner assy. it's about $150.00 and use the same mirror housing if it did not get damaged. i saw onthegreen selling a set real cheap a while back. worst case scenario i have one you can have. i can install it for you (free) if you go to dubwars saturday. it's the least i can do for you guys through your rough times. see, it's nice to have a vw tech around. just ask my girlfriend with an 02 and 06 passat that she never pays labor for anything.

Haha:D Thanks! Lemme see what I can squeeze out of Mobile first which will take 5-10 business days. I'm gonna contact Corporate because today as I drove by the car wash was still running. After something like that you'd think they would close it until it's been inspected :( . SIGH!
