I bought these for my 92 GTI and they rub a bit so I'd like to trade for a set of 16's. They're brand new, no scratches, under 100 miles on them and come with the tires (205/40/17). Anyone want to trade for some nice 16's?
Help...anyone.

Yeah bro, I had to take a look around and I like this site. Much better than vortex.
Im about to just sell the rims and forget the trading thing all together...she can sit on blocks for a week or so in the garage...

Rubbing isn't so much the rim diameter, but the tire diameter and offset. Such said, the 205/40/17 is only about 3/4" larger in diameter, so that shouldn't be the problem.

Thanks Pwrpuff. So what do you suggest?

I say double check before having to sell/trade 'em.
Where and when is it rubbing anyways? If on the inboard side, get some thin spacers. If on the outboard side, then the wheels have too little offset and stick out too far. If on top, then get stiffer springs. If only when steering at full lock, then just don't steer to full lock.

Thanks Pwrpuff, I appreciate the help.
It rubs when I turn...on the outside, and this Tokico set is pretty stiff already...Daaaamn.
