Air Bag Light

Got an 03 gti and today my air bag light came on. How do i get this cleared or find out whats wrong? Vag Com? Does anyone wanna help me out if you have one?

if your still under warrenty, go to the dealer. if not, you can have someone check the code, find out whats wrong and clear it if you want. usually there's someone with a vag at a GTG. you can also goto, kragen or pepboys to have the car scanned, i hear they'll scan your car for free, but im not sure. then post up the code.

currently i have my airbag light due to a defective driver side seatbelt buckle, costs about $100 for the part. too lazy to buy the part.

this actually just happened to my girlfriend with her 03 gti. they ran a diagnostic and figured out it was just the seatbelt. this seems to be another common problem that v-dubs have. just have them check the seatbelt so they don't charge you up the ass for the diagnostic.

that's not how most dealerships work... checking the seatbelt is diagnosis. you'll get charged either way. if the car is in warranty, then you'll pay nothing outta pocket.

I dont have the warranty through VW... just went over the miles.. damn
