Since the BMW thread is kinda dormant right now... I'll try to wake it up a little bit.

Like the title says, I just recently bought D2 coilovers for my car. My friend and I tried to install them but we came across some problems. First, the front sway bar links weren't easy to take off. Speaking of the sway bar links... does anyone know somewhere I could purchase some new sway bar links?

Then, when we had the original suspension off and tried to put on the coilovers the camber plate top mount were spaced just a quarter of an inch too wide. I called my friend that works on bimmers, he told me that the top mounts are for an E30.

So as of right now I'm waiting for the correct top mounts, maybe if I could keep those top mounts if someone has an E30 and if it is the whole camber plate setup... is anyone interested in them I'll be willing to sell them... maybe.

When I'm done with the install I'll post up pics of my new drop! Also, is there anyone else that know about these coliovers and/or have them if you have feedback on them, please feel free to give me any advise or insight on them much appreciated.

Far as I know about them... they are 36-way adjustable. You can adjust the height, rebound, and inbound.

Wow, that's alot of adjustment. Are you going to track your car?

I'm not familiar with the D2 suspension, but am it's sounds like you have a set of camber plates that you can't use because they're for an E30?

Have you tried pelicanparts.com for the swaybar links?

no i haven't checked pelican parts... i'll check that...

yeah! coilovers for an E36!!!

i still haven't gotten the camber plates in yet... i'll let you guys know how it runs.

the question on if i'm tracking my car? i'm hoping to actually use these coilovers to almost there full extent. track, canyons, auto-x... i'm gonna try to get as much practice with this setup since i got used to how stock feels.

I would definitely recommend Ground Control for Adj. Sway Bars and Adj. Sway Bar Links.
