i wonder what they must have said to zidane to make him do that? i mean he is a true hero of the sport and a very smart soccer player, he would not do such a thing without proper reason. but really, they should do away with penalty kicks in general, but especially for the world cup final!

He is an algerian immigrant to france. He grew up in rough streets and has a history of not putting up with lip. I guess the italian defender also twisted his nipple. Nothing like a good headbutt to counter that.

Good thinking. Penalty kicks just aren't a good way to really establish who WINS the game not just who outshoots the other. With the golden goal, the final score would read 2-1 not 1-1 (Italy wins on penalty kicks 5-3). NEITHER goalie even touched ANY of the shots!

I had heard about this game circulating though the web. I have no idea what to take from it, its either you love Zidane for standing up for himself or hate him. haha I still played it though
