ebay screw ebay..... shady shady
There is nothing wrong with ebay as long as you are willing to put the time into researching what you are buying first. I have 3 perfectly good long blocks sitting in my garage (2 bmw, 1 vw) that were purchased off of ebay, as well as a variety of other things. Great deals to be found if you actually know the difference between quality and crap.

Not sure if Scott is talking about Ebay Tracy. I believe he is referring to how shady stereooptions is

im not sure its shady, but kinda sucks for those that want to actually use the items that were for sale originally

Well this case might not be shady but the ebay stuff he was pulling was definitely shady. I agree with you though Lon that this should of gone to someone who actually would use it though.

There is nothing shady with drop shipping most if not all of the vendors you buy your parts don't have the items in stock. I bought my rear sway from MJM and it was here the next day why? It was shipped from Neuspeed MJM never even saw the box. Anyways I shouldn't have to explain myself unless I ripped someone off now if that day ever comes then please feel free to post your opinions about me. Unless you have dealt with me you can't say I'm shady and I've never sold or bought anything from anyone in this thread. I did talk to scottd on the phone before and gave him advice on his 2.0L.

Didnt you pick up those other monte carlo's from here?
I'm not saying your shady or not, just too bad that you happen to pick up items that people could use, and then mark it up and sell it.
I'm glad your making some $$ out of that kinda business, just sucks for those that looking to pick up a deal.

There is a difference from drop shipping than what you do. Basically finding a link on ebay which you have no affiliation with and then quoting someone hundreds more than on ebay and if they want to buy it you will then win the auction and sell them the product. Not only is it shady but you set yourself up for all types of problems as the product is not in your control nor do you know the actual condition of the product. Plus you are not a vendor and if order sways from mjm I am not getting used stuff.

No Lon I actually bought these Monte Carlos from vwvortex. Last wheels I bought here were 17" long beaches. And I don't drop ship used stuff because that is open to too much liability. If there is ever a problem I'd take care of it and either eat the cost or do what it takes to make it right. Do you ever wonder why it takes some Ebay sellers so long to ship?? They are doing the same thing it is called business.

As i said, no issues from me regarding your practices, except, its too bad because a lot of buyers would probably prefer to sell to people that would be using the products themselves
in the case of those long beaches, he stated to me, he would have sold them to someone else, if he knew you were gonna resell em
i dont mind you making your $$, because its supply and demand for the most part, just sucks to those that want a product that ends up being resold at a higher price

Business is the social science of managing people to organize and maintain collective productivity toward accomplishing particular creative and productive goals, usually to generate revenue.
what you are doing is a form of business called hustling. Yeah all businesses are in it for the money,
but you know what gives businesses life to go on and continue to make money? customers. With what you've done in the past , i'm pretty sure your business will shrivel up and die like most small "businesses" .
Take what i said for what it is worth to you and if you want to do REAL business, go to school and take some business classes. Any one can do what you are doing.
Also, FYI Customers don't like to get bent over.
Seems from reading posts on vortex, you've already have a nice group of people who don't approve of your practices.
but hey, I'm not hating on you, but pointing out the facts from vwvortex. But anyways good luck with your sale dude.
Make wrongs right because reputation is another key builder of a business. Market your self well.
on another note, may your ROI's be plentiful through good business practice.
-cheers.

It is basically buy low, sell high. You know that thing called the stock market that your 401k's are invested in? Same principal.

The bottom line is that EVERYONE knows how cheap you get most of your items...and where you get them from or who. There are TONS of people who would die for some of the stuff you have but the fact that your trying to up the price so much more then what you paid is a little rediculious. A HUGE Part of being a part of the VW community is friendship and people... not business:tdown:
Do what you wish with everything you have, but if you havent noticed you would prob be doing a lot better if you cut people some deals anywhere near as close as what you get, if your not really in it for the money that is:rolleyes:
and am Im not sure if im the only one that knows this... but is there a reason you have been BANED from Vortex sooo many times? and yet you still make a new Screen name and do it all over again.
I belive you have done the same on here also.....??????

no actually I have been stereooptions since I signed up years ago. Reason I'm banned from Vortex is trying to sell too much crap without being an advertiser. I'd pay for advertising fees if I actually sold everything through Vortex or Socaleuro but 85% of the stuff I sell goes to Ebay or through the Recycler or Craigslist classifieds.

yes lon and not to throw fuel on the fire but a few sets of these wheels I've bought through here an vortex were actually bent up and it does cost money to have them straightened. I don't come on here to flame the sellers and its just life sometimes you win sometimes you lose.
