Hey, i've been looking for an aftermarket 3" downpipe for me TT for a little while now and all i've been able to find is the APR setup for 2500 bucks. is it possible for me to take a stock downpipe into a muffler of welding shop and have them cut off the piping and weld on a 3" pipe to it? If it is possible, who would do it? Ive called a few local places, no one has said they are willing to do it.

If you want to make the trek up to LA there is a shop that did mine, as well as many of my friends exahust. He does many TT exhausts because he works with a shop over here called Wicked Motorsports. If you do decide to come the shop is called Labree Motorsports, and the number is, 818-704-7950 and ask for Brent, he is the owner.

yeah its possible, ive done it before on my privious gti (san bernardino)who does your work out there? I've had 2 cars done by Scotty's, and have had a couple friends have their trucks done there, and they do good work. When I get my DP and softloader, i'm planning on taking it to them to get the DP installed and have 'em redo my exhaust [or, have them do a custom 3" DP]

should start calling 'round to see who might be able to do a custom DP :P the DP options I have are all atound $1500+
and when i get around to putting the GT30R in, the DP will need to be cut up anyway.
