So after having my car bone stock for 7 months, I finally got the Vogtland coilovers and H-Sport S4 sways installed on Wednesday. Needless to say the car rides and handles so much better. And of course looks better (sorry, no pics yet).

Anyway, right after the installation when I drove about 40 miles and got back to home, I hear a faint clunk. This happened when I turned left to a drive way. Now that I've been driving the car again today (I had the car for 5kmile service and alignment), it seems to happen pretty often when turning fairly slow in an uneven ground.

I know that every single bolt is tight since we double checked and I really doubt that anything could be broken (the car has only 4200 miles) because the sound came right away. So now I'm just trying to narrow down what might cause this problem.

The H-Sport S4 front sway bar is really beefy hence the belly pan is sitting really tight underneath the sway bar so I was just thinking could the little clunk come when the belly pan is hitting/binding against the sway bar?

When going straight there's no noises what so ever so I'm leaning towards the sway bar since it moves quite bit especially when pulling into a driveway.

Any ideas guys?

Give it some time to settle, if after a week or so you still have that problem, bring it by and we'll inspect it for free.

Looks like my clunk is gone. We looked at my car today with Mike Kim and he saw that the passenger side end bolt from the front sway bar was a little loose. I'm gonna monitor the clunk for a few days but at least for now it looks like the clunk is gone! Thanks to Mike Kim!

We also lifted the rear suspension a bit since it had settled a bit too much for my taste but now after the adjustment, the ride height is perfect. Gotta love the Vogtland adjustability (you can do it right on the spot even without taking off the wheel).

I don't know what can it be on an audi, but what comes to mind with my Jetta, that familiar clunk was from two places, of course at two different times. One was a loose front swaybar endlink bolt and the other was the stoopid upper strut mount. It was installed upside down and the bearing wasn't seated correctly. There you go, might have just solved your problem. BTW, that clunking is not settling and will not go away. Pretty much, something was not installed correctly. Seems like you are gonna have to remove everything and do it over again. Have fun!:D

I have heard good things about the Vogtland products.

You might want to look into the KW coilovers as well....great performance with excellent ride quality.
