ESPN to Start Airing New WSOP Poker Events Tuesday

This Summer's Series Starts at the End of August

ESPN will start broadcasting new World Series of Poker circuit events starting next Tuesday, July 18, but fans will have to wait until the fall to listen to Norman Chad and Lon McEachern describe the events that are now taking place at the WSOP right now.

Starting next week and running until Halloween, ESPN dedicates Tuesday nights to poker. From 8-10 p.m. each Tuesday, the “Worldwide Leader” will show two one-hour episodes of poker action from four recent WSOP circuit events through Aug. 15.

The WSOP main event will start being broadcast a week later, on Aug. 22. The 12 episodes showing the main event will run until Sept. 26 (again, that’s two one-hour episodes a night). The final table of the main event will also be available live on pay-per-view on Aug. 10.
