Alright, I own a 2000 323i, its triptronic... I have recently installed a CAI and DINAN stage 1 softwear, the acceleration on the car is horrable, I noticed when I go in triptronic mode and lets say im in 2nd gear, it will drop to 1st when I floor it... or if im in 3rd it will drop to 2ndwhen I floor it. Is there something wrong w/ it?

Nope. It's called full throttle kickdown.

is there a little button that clicks when you get the petal to the very bottom?

that's how my car is designed maybe yours too (im not familiar with tip in a bimmer)

Yea there is like a button or something that clicks, but what about the acceleration?, Is it just because the car dosent have any?

could be a glitch in the software... maybe a leak somewhere? wish i could help more there but bimmers really should give a kick in the pants acceleration (i've driven a 5spd 328 E46 several times and wowey it'll kick my a6's ass)

I honestly think the car is just made with no pick up.

with steptronic, you can downshift with the stick or the gas pedal....floor the pedal when your accelerating but dont push ALL the way down. Once you slam it, it clicks and downshifts for you. But i dont get why the your acceleration is horrible...if anything it will barely lag then start to pull hard.
