the Alsa Corporation makes a paint now that is exactly the same finish. I don't think the car is polished as VW chassis are Sheet steel, not stainless steel. That thing would rust instantly. The only other thing I could see happening is the whole chassis was chrome dipped before assembly, and the fenders and such were as well. There is a Phaeton with the same treatment. I think the owner probably commisioned one direct from VW/Audi. When you have more money than sense......

Body is made of mostly aluminum on the A8.
