Way to go Hal!!!
Don't think I can make it due to it being in the middle of the academy.
For those contemplating going... do it!!
This is the best way to learn to drive your car the way it was meant to be driven... fast!!! Plus you get the best track crew there is, the racerfactory crew. That includes top notch instructors, and track workers.
It's going to be a great weekend.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwesome. That would be the first opportunity for me to go and check if my car is any good. I am already registered for the Auto-x at dubfest the week before so i will have a hard time to do both but the track event is what i really want. I might even screw the 50 dollars (dubfest) and come to NV only :D :D . My car ,probably, will suck at the track because of the brakes which i will have to work on alot.
So here my Questions:
A) Since it would be my first track event in the states, what do i have to bring (besides money and car) in order to attend?
Any special regulations? who could help me out with detailed questions?
B) Will I be able to do adjustments on my brakes at the track ( No fluid mess involved)?
I am excited

Dude, sell your registration spot at dubfest if you have to. Track racing is so muc better.
You need a solid car thats not a pile and can pass a basic tech inspection, and a legit spec helmet.
You can also do all sorts of aintenance at the track. Hell many people will help you do it. Just clean up after yourself.
The racerfactory site is still up and you can get info from there. The FAQ has just about all of your answers.

Everything Andy said is spot-on. I went to my first track event back in April and I had a BLAST! I'm planning on making this one now that it's on again, hopefully we can get some more Socaleuro representation ...

Yep, Greenwing and I went with Creanium back in April, and had an absolute blast! We were very disappointed when we got the email about RF.
We really, really want to make this one, but it probably won't happen. The money situation is real tight at the moment with a trip I'm making end of this month, and the one Tracy is making in Oct. On top of that, I don't think the M3 is up to it right now. Even with the low mileage, the effects of age have made themselves apparent after the last event. I need to go through the car and replace all the bushings - she's very sloppy right now, and it's been getting worse. Control issues aside, I'm really paranoid about tearing my rear subframe or diff out, due to the bad condition of the bushings.
We'll cross our fingers that there are RF-like events next year. Like Andy said, if you're even remotely interested in going, DO IT! I was very impressed by how well it was run and how cool everyone is. As long as you aren't an overly aggressive idiot, and your car isn't a danger on a track and can pass tech, just do it. It's not racing, it's a casual atmospere, and you go at your own pace. Just one of those experiences you need to have... :tup2:

I help with the texh at the events.
Make sure, you are no leaking any fluids badly. Small amounts fine, but no real leakage, the less the better. Torque your lug bolts, make sure you brakes are good, pads, rotors, and fluid. Sounds stupipd I know, but make sure your seat is secure. Unless you have a cage, use your stock seat belts and make sure the belts are working properly. Tires should have good life left in them. And empty the interior of anything extra before track time. I mean everything, like floor mats, change, misc goods, and anything that can fly if you roll.

How much is the lodging?
How much for a helmet and where to pick up a good one?
Caravan?
If I can swing it, anyone that wants to is welcome to crash at my house on Friday to avoid traffic. I have plenty of parking.
I may bring the toaster. I was just ordering some poly endlink bushings for my front swaybar.

First and formost, this is not a Racerfactory event. RF is closed due to Rich having a baby and no time to run it which I understand.
Were all the same crew as RF, minus Rich. No big deal really.
To run, you need a safe car. Nothing falling off, no leaks, intact seat belt system, a helmet and a secure battery, brakes work.
The tech inspection is not detailed. We only check to be sure the car is safe and it puts another sets of eyes on your car as some people are not mechanically inclined so we do that for you to avoid any on track issues. Its all about you, having fun on the track!

No need. As long as all the loose articles are removed, your fine. They can be a huge annoyance while trying to navigate the track. Its best to take all the extra things out of the car, including the spare and jack ect. Do all that at the track, we all do.

Lodging is usually about $65 a night. but that was always with the racerfactory discount. Without it I have paid $90 before. I don't know if Hal has any lodging details set up.
You can buy helmets online. I don't think you can rent them at the track.
I recomend driving up and crashing in Pahrump on friday evening so you don't have to make an early morning trip on saturday and drive tired on the track.
I will tell Hal to check back on this post.

this way you can see what is need or not to run on the track events.

Hotels can vary from 60 to 100 dollars out there, Im working with Pahrump Nugget to get a good deal like Rich does for RF.
We will have a morning Caravan heading up. Will have lunch at Dennys at the top in Hesperia.

Since "U-Haul" does not rent any kind of trailer to a ford explorer and i can't afford to buy one ( unless really cheap) I was wondering if anyone knows where i could get a trailer capable of hauling my little golf???????????

As long as its registered, you can use a tow dolly. They work well, cept when you need to back up but while towing, are lighter than a trailer.

OK, the M2005 is a motorcycle helmet. That would be fine for what we do but if you ever intend to do any Solo2 or regular track events, it will need to be a SA rated helmet.
M standard is for Motorcycle or motorized highway vehicles. M rated helmets are to be used for motorcycles, motorized highway vehicles and also for types of racing that do not require a fire retardant rating. M rated helmets also require a larger eyeport for a wider range of vision.
SA standard ("Special Application") is for helmets that meet the standards necessary to be used in competitive automotive sports and racing and require a fire retardant rating for interior compartment components as well as the helmet shell, shield and chinstrap. SA helmets are also subjected to additional testing including a test which simulates a roll bar impact including penetration and impact tests.
