Phew...what a day. Spent the majority of it in the garage, finishing up my stand for my drill press and grinder (pics to come).
Then I started on the Audi......what began as a 2 hour project became a 7 hour ordeal. :mad:
I knew I had some exhaust leaks so I wanted to track them down. Turns out all of my flanges in the exhaust system were leaking. Broke a couple of bolts trying to get the sucker apart. Got new bolts, some material to make new gaskets, and some new hardware to make the cat-to-dp install easier. After some grinding, welding, cutting, banging, and much cursing....I got the whole freaking thing done. Installing my 3" DP on my car is next to impossible with two people, so you can imagine how much fun it is with one. Because the Tip tranny is soo wide, I have to drop the cat in from above and bring the DP up from below, hold them together and put the bolts in. What a pain.
Anyway, finally got it done and headed inside...my wife just started laughing at me. I couldn't understand why until I looked at myself in a mirror. I started to lauch so hard I was crying. I figured it was worth sharing the picture with everyone. Well, it's 10 to midnight now and I have to get up at 4:30 for work. Yaaaa!!! :tdown:
