DIY for the cheap and the brave

Materials:
1. 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol (Riite-Aid, CVS, whatever -- less than two bucks).
2. Large self-sealing plastic freezer bag (e.g. Ziploc)

Instructions:
1. Unplug MAF sensor wire from housing (push and pull)
2. Remove MAF housing, two screws to the airbox and one clamp to the intake hose
3. Place MAF housing in plastic freezer bag
4. Pour alcohol into bag such that the MAF can be fully submerged (probably half the bottle)
5. Seal the bag
6. Agitate gently by holding the corners of the bag and tilting left and right slowly such that the alcohol runs through the MAF
7. Repeat 6 for one to two minutes -- you could do it for as long as you feel necessary
8. Remove MAF housing from plastic freezer bag and place on counter where alcohol can evaporate in one to two hours; do not physically or thermally dry the housing (it might take several hours if air humidity is high)
9. Reinstall MAF housing

You can see difference in the grams/sec reading off the MAF with a vag-com.

I would say that is pretty solid proof.
