Replace your dampers. If your car is a 2000, the stock ones will die sooner than later.

Sorted from softest to stiffest...
Popular Springs:
Eibach
Neuspeed
Vogtland
H&R

Popular Dampers (Struts):
Tokico (questionable reliability)
Eibach
Koni Adjustables
Bilstein Sports

Mix and match to your liking. Avoid Bilstein Touring and KYB struts, they weren't made for lowered cars.

Of course, there's the H&R, Autotech, Neuspeed, and Vogtland cupkits. Cupkits are really just springs and shocks paired together.

I would not change the springs without changing the shocks. Reason being when you stock shocks go and they will pretty soon, you will end up paying for installation twice and you ride won't be the greatest either.

Eibach or H+R springs with Bilstien shocks is a good setup. Or Koni shocks... I use H+R's w/ Koni's on my Corrado, H+R's w/ Bilstiens on the R32.

I used Eibachs w/ Bilstiens on my VR6 Corrado, was a really nice setup.

Reiser basically already answered your last question....it's highlighted in blue! Red highlight is what I would do. Can't go wrong with either spring or shock/struts ;)

Not true. You can get a varety of spring rates from all spring vendors.

When it comes to suspensions, you get what you pay for.
Buy a cheap suspension, get a cheap suspension.
