I'm stuck in the Temecula area with a coolant problem.
It looks like I'm leaking from the crackpipe/oil cooler area.
I have a 12V VR.
I have to tear it apart to find out what is exactly leaking.
It looks like it could be the crackpipe, the crackpipe o-rings, or the coolant lines to the oil cooler. It's hard to tell right now.
This sucks cause it is Sunday, and tomorrow it's a holiday.
I'm screwed as of right now. Hopefully I can drive it to my buddies place and tear it down and find out exactly what I need.
If anybody has any of these parts and can help me out, please let me know.
I can be reached on my cellphone.
858-386-6056 My name is Nathan.
Thanks in advance.

sorry to hear that buddy.
My VR6 had similar problem too.
My coolant was completed drained and it was leaking badly.
It turned out to be the cracked pipes in the engine area.
Cost me 1k to fix mainly the labor :(
Good luck to you

While you are in there definitely upgrade to the billet crack pipe.

Just talked to him, he's not like crying on the side of the road (emo-kid!). He's alright, just needs a crack-pipe.

yeah, gonna take it to jimmy's (jaydudr) and tear it down to check it out. hopefully parts4vw has the stuff it need(since im in the area).
I changed the water pump about 8 months ago, and the leak is not coming from the weep hole on the pump.
if im lucky, i can just epoxy the pipe up and order the nice billet one.
i'll keep you guys posted.
thanks for all the help.

thanks for all the help. :tup:dont epoxy it. the new pipe should not be too expensive. make sure you use all new orings as well.
