Check it, previously I had an oil leak due to the breather valve being worn. I got my breather valve replaced on my '95 Passat VR6 GLX, and when in the driveway and idling, somewhere oil leaks. It's not a giant flow, but just enough to stain the driveway. But on a flat surface, no leak, no drip nothing. Can anyone diagnose what the problem is before I go out and spend a grip to have something fixed that wasn't broken? Thanks y'all!!
valve cover? have you looked up from underneath the car?

The easiest way to do it is clean off the areas around seals where oil commonly leaks out and then check a couple days later for where its oily again.
Usually areas where there is alot of gunk and grime built up can indicate potential leaks. The dirt and crap sticks to the oil and then eventually you get a big ugly mess there.
Good luck wih the leak man.

I've got the valve covers ready, just haven't had time to get 'em installed, and I'm low on loot to boot. Anyone know a place where to get 'em done cheap?
I didn't mean that the valve cover was leaking, I meant the valve cover gasket. Does the VR6 have one or two valve covers? I thought it only had one.

I think it has two, haven't had a chance to look.
