Hey guys-
I just moved to newport beach a few months ago, and I just hit 90k on the odometer. I want to take the Jetta in for a 90k service, among other things. Anyone have any recommendations for shops to get routine maintenance done? I had a great place back in San Marcos where they did awesome work for a great price, and I didn't feel like I was taking it in the ass like the dealer. I would love to find a shop like that around here. They will have my business until I'm dead if that's the case...and my wife has a VW also. Can anyone help me out?
THANKS!

VW Specialties on Gothard in Huntington Beach. Ron and Scott are the best! Call ahead to make an appointment. Good luck finding it the first time you go there...look for the sign selling computers, not the little address sign.

Yeah...I did the Tbelt. I want to get it in there for a 30 point inspection to make sure EVERYTHING is on point. I also need an alignment job, and I think the fat fives I just bought need to be balanced. I also need an oil change, so I figure 90k is good time.

I think I'm going to check this place out. Any other suggestions? If I find a great shop, they'll have my business for life.

Ron and his crew are top notch, straight shooters. You wont be dissapointed.
Well, you might get frustrated on how long it takes to get an appt sometimes but thats for a reason!

I'm willing to wait a while for an appointment for excellent service. After I wrote this, I did a bunch of research on these guys and read NOTHING but awesome things. They're definitely going to get by business.

I wont take my car anywhere else but VW specialties, incredibly nice guys and there's nothing ron doesnt know about VW/Audi's. Gonna get my 2.0 16v installed there as soon as I get my car smogged next month.
