Hey guys, I was thinking about getting a new CF hood from MaShaw in Santa Ana...
I plan to paint over the weave to factory color....Got to prep the car for the last and final mod, the Dinan SC.
I need your honest opinions and constructive criticism on what you guys think of the hood....
One good point, if I may add is that the hood and materials are all Made in the U.S.A. and I can inspect the quality and fitment prior to the install...
Attached below is a sample pic of the hood fitment on a company test vehicle...

Honestly I think that style of hood looks better on the 346 than the e36

Dave,
Not feeling the slats in the hood.
Painting over the weave sounds proper, however at the same time you kinda want to show off the CF. Plus if you're going S/C, then saving weight isn't much of an issue, especially after putting 35 lbs of stereo equipment in the trunk.
I guess if it were me i'd just put that money towards the supercharger fund.

not feeling the whole fish gills look, IMO i've always liked that series of BMW for it's simplicity in design. the hood isn't subtle enough to blend in.

If you're gonna get a CF hood, the OEM style ones are the only way to go on an E36. If I were you though, I would just put that money towards your S/C project. You can always do CF later.

OK Guys... I sincerely appreciate your honest opinions, and after really looking at the hood, visually examining the existing hood lines vs. the louvers and so forth and so on....
I will "NOT" proceed with this mod....:) I certainly don't want to destroy the car's E36 appearance...
Thanks again for all of your input...
