ok i owe around 9000$ for my car....the 20th i found is 15,500$ i was talkin to my mom about it and she said that since i still owe on my car that they'll just tack on wat i owe for my car onto the 15,500$ which would put me in the 25k$ range on the 20th rite?? so then if thats the case wouldnt it be better to take a hit like that for an r32 or a new mkv??? i have no clue how car shopping works....as soon as i got out of bootcamp i went to the dealer and dropped a check on the first black jetta i saw lol didnt even test drive(cuz i knew wat i wanted) so yea someone school me in car shopping 1o1 please

Well, if you owe $9k, that doesn't mean that is what will be added on. You have to deduct what they give you for the car. I did a quick check on KBB.com and assuming you have average miles on it and its in good condition, trade in value is a little over $10k. That means you'd only have to pay $14,500 for the 20th.

make your car disappear, insuarance pays for your car....., you are most likely gonna get some cash, im guessing 2-3k. sell your mods and that should give ya enough for a good downpayment on your new car

I am hoping GTI20ae was joking but what audiracer said is correct. It really wouldn't matter if you bought a used or new car the same principle will apply.

eveyrone keeps saying keep my jetta...well i would except i got a bent rear axle that the fuckin insurance doesnt wanna pick up because there isnt 'sufficient' evidence that the tow truck damaged the axle...yet the insurance guy knows that the axle is a lil less than 1/4" tweaked. but hes being a dick and said that there not gonna investigate it any further

Not a cop but just wouldn't be talking about insurance fraud on a public forum.
