Are the brembo rotors the best ones out there or are there better OEM sized rotors?

Brembo's are probably the best rotors you can buy in all versions, plain, slotted, and cross drilled. They are also the most expensive, but they willl last you the longest and give you great braking when paired up with nice pads. What kind of application are you looking for, driving style, etc. I work for TopSPIN Design and we are a Brembo dealer, did you want a quote on a set of rotors for your car? ;)

What Joe says is accurate. Also, Zimmerman, Bradi and ATE are all very good quality rotors and I have run all brands on my cars, street and track.

Visit our website for pricing on plain face, slotted, and drilled rotors.

Rotors for the MkIV will depend if you're a stock GTI/Jetta, or the 337/GLI. Some use a solid rear, some use a vented rear. You can't mix them, unless you buy some other appropriate hardware like the calipers and carriers.

Rotors are rotors. Unless your racing, they're all about the same. For street use, getting picky about rotors is like comparing apples to apples. You likely wont feel a difference.

Dont get so caught up in the popular/trendy thing.

i have the autotech crossdrilled/slotted. they are good rotors. there is less brake fade then the stock ones, and they haven't warped at all either

Alright... I found a place that was willing to do front and rear brembos rotors (slotted or x-drilled) for under $300 but will need 10 or more people in the group deal. He won't give me the exact price until i can give him a est headcount. If interested, PM me your model and engine of your car. He also carries PBR brake pads.
