Here are some pics of air cooled people and what weird stuff they put on there roof rack. One thing that is mandatory -- the 50's coca-cola cooler!!!!

I carry all my hookers on the roof because I don’t want the wife to see me driving around with them in the Vanagon. :D :D

It carries the dark sorrow of it's past burdens.

Then it started cutting itself. I had to removed it.

Then the antenna, in a fit of desperation, took it's own life. It couldn't stand to live on that vast black empty space anymore (my roof) without it's only friend in this world.

My car is emo. :(

When I finally get around to either building or searching endlessly for a classy one on the rabbit, it will have a 5ltr gas can painted with that "Rustique" rust paint, a spare (mismatched) wheel, some old crappy peice of vintage luggage or one of those self-contained turntable/speaker combos from back in the day.

I'll probably change it up with the seasons though...Skimboards/surfboards in the summer, pair of oldschool wooden skis w/boots &poles and maybe a bundle of firewood for the winter.

btw, speedi, do you know where I can find a rack for my MK1 Rabbit GTi?

hummm, that might be a lil' hard to find, I'll do some looking, posting, and asking and see what I can come up with.

thanks man, I really appreciate it!

If all else fails, I guess I'll just have to fab up a fabulous one myself!

custom always triumphs, but I need something to model it after at least
