As long as you don't mind staying in hostels and guesthouse, you can do Europe really cheaply.

Actually, a decent hotel in the center of town might only run $100US/night, which is decent for an actual hotel room (tiny) with your own bath.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel des Balcons (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187147-d236439-Reviews-Grand_Hotel_des_Balcons-Paris_Ile_de_France.html), a short walk from the metro and right in the middle of the city.

We were able to do the trip pretty cheap. VWofA paid for our airfare to/from London and Robins boss's brother manages a hotel in Paris and Prague is just cheap. Our connecting flights were $100 total each to go from london to prague to paris to london. You just have to search alot. Our flight from prague to paris was $7 each.

man i miss europe..... everything is so....... old... i love it! i lived in stuttgart for about 6 months, right down the street from a mercedes showroom... never went to paris or london or anything like that, though....:(
