Wow.

I'm not paying these guys to be Steven Colbert in the F'n sandbox.

Get over it! Kerry slipped up, then apologized.

Also, I don't think his comment was necessarily concerning the type of soldier who has the time or opportunity to craft some edgy satirical message to get their faces on the evening news, and the internets, while the country they're supposed to be helping to secure is "Edging closer and closer to chaos every day".

This makes me want to quit my job and take one that's "under the table".

Yeah, we should thank the armed forces and respect them for what they do, not insult them. I've been deployed several times, things like this photo is very important for troop morale. After all, they are several thousands of miles away from their loved ones, and always seconds away from death or injury.

Damn . . . why don't you just come out and say "F#ck our Troops!"

There's no doubt there is a lot of down time in Iraq, those that have been there, and from my personal experience know that!! Who are you to say what they can a cannot do on their down time? Ohhh you must be some kind of old retired general that guest interview on CNN ripping apart troop morale and our current state of discipline.

Oh wait, no, your just some guy driving 90 on the freeway enjoying his starbucks while scoping out hot girls in convertable!!

Plain and simple, I'm not saying Kerry is right or wrong . . . how about "you just shouldn't talk bad about the situation, or those that are involved in the war" That would have saved a lot of face.

Dude . . . he lost, why does he have to still campaign against Bush? It's not like he gonna have to run against him in the next election!!

From me and all my brothers on deplyment to you:

EAT A D!K

THe short Story is...

Kerry told college students that if "you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

Which was took as Military personnel are uneducated. (Dumb)

that is pretty funny...

It doesn't matter if you're for, or against the war...or for, or against bush. The only thing that matters is that the troops get home safely. imho, i think that the war is a mistake, but I still support the troops NO MATTER WHAT!

Thats just my opinion

Obviously you've never served your country in any branch of the armed forces. I'm just going to leave this one alone.

Hmmm, politics. I interpreted his statement a little different.I thought this comment he made was clearly pointed towards Mr. Bush himself. I think he wanted to say that Bush is unable to drive and guide a government and therefor put his military and his country in a unsatisfactory situation not to say "deadlock".
However, my opinion..... The comments Kerry made were inappropriate and confusing.
Our military is, considering the circumstances, still very disciplined and the soldiers serve their country at the risk of losing their lifes.
Now, it is our responsibility to try to not make soldiers go and fight a senseless war.

HAHAHA . . . I'm just gonna ssume that you really don't have an issue with the troops, but are very opinionated on the war (which is 100% cool)

So I'm gonna have to apologize for telling you to Eat A D!k.

eeeeeeeexactly.

I love troops. I love anyone who defends this country of ours.

I just wish that sometimes, everyone in the world could be a little more constructive...myself included.

I know these guys are out there staring death and evil in the face on a daily basis, and understand their need for moments of levity, no matter how brief or scarce.

Just get the job done quick, I don't care if its clean...just don't get dead for one texan families grudge.

Saddam's war trial will come to a verdict in the next week, after which, the sentence must be carried out within 30 days. When found guilty (not if), he faces death by hanging.

So, anyone else find it strange that Saddam will more than likely be dead long before the war's end?

I doubt they'll hang Sadam, for one good reason: he becomes a martyr. If he becomes a martyr, he becomes a hero to those that hate the free world. I think more than likely, he will be exiled to another country. As soon as he is sent to another country, he will become a head of a terrorist group and cause even more trouble for us. We'll see in the following weeks.

No way they'll exile him. They're not letting him go anywhere. If they do I'm becoming a merc and I'll hunt him down!

Props to the troops for having a sense of humor.

I don't think anyone is against those people who are willing to put themselves at risk for the collective good, but the only reason any of us know about Kerry's statement is because the republicans are trying to draw attention from their war mongering.

If you really care about the troops then send them home.
