I am considering lowering the C-Class on a set of Tein Basic COs. I like the drop and don't really need adjustability. Any thoughts on reliability, ride quality, or any comparables?

Some people have been happy with them on their C-Class but I have them on my Integra and HATE them. You might want to look into H&R's or KW V1's instead. They ride a lot better.

If you are interested you can PM "boostedm3". Troy can certainly hook you up with all of the brands mentioned above.

I had KW's on my Audi and now have Teins on my G35. The KW's were nice and the Teins are great. They are a little stiffer than the KW's were but they are a well known brand and good quality, plus, they tend to be a little cheaper for the basics and you can get the electronic dampening controller for the Teins with adjustable dampening so that you can change it from inside.

Nefarious and drumatix have it on their C-class .. they are the prototype car for Tein's coilovers

they can give you some feedback, but i can tell you the darn mercedes camber is wacked out if you lower too much

got tein Super street's on my dad's GTI 337, rides pretty firm on his car

Pretty much. No real way to correct the camber either. The crash bolts only give you about 1/2 degree of positive camber.

Just get the toe and caster corrected and call it a day.

had to use a thicker spring pad for my mom's '99 E320 with the H&R sports and bilstein setup

fixed her rear camber to something that lasted ;)

Tein makes a great quality product but for most euro owners the ride quality leaves something to be desired. My suggestion would be KW on your type of car for sure. KW offers a lifetime warranty and the ride quality as well as lowering rates are the best out there for sure. Hit me up if you are interested and I can quote you on variant 1,2,or 3

I had KW V2's on my Audi Avant for 3 years, and its a great quality ride with awesome handling improvements

Tein makes a great product, but i would recommend it more so if you prefer to drive spiritedly, but the KW's ride oh so much better

just my thoughts

also, i got my mom H&R Sport with Bilstein's ... and she doesnt care for cars at all ... she's got a '99 E320

she's been happy with the ride and the height is very reasonable considering her style of driving ;)

love ya mom *hugs*

Yeah..if you do not mind a bit "tighter" ride the Tein is a great option for the price point. I should have statted that "my" personal prefference is KW but we can hook ya up on a good price for either set.

no silly !! that was after the spring/shock setup, had to lift the car just a tad to get the camber within reasonable spec

Tein EDFC is pretty dope...my friend runs it on his G-coupe...

Ho's in the back makin' your rears rub?

just reach over and stiffen it up a little (the suspension)
