Driving home from the airport this morning my car threw a check engine light. Thankfully, it's not in limp mode. I just unplugged the battery to clear it up, anything else I can do without a VagCom to try and pinpoint the issue?

any mods? chip, intake, exhaust, boost controller, bov? anything that has to do with the engine type of mods?

the vag is probably the best way to pin point the problem.

Go to your local Autozone,they have a free scan tool that you can use to read the codes.

Foomanchu was nice enough to scan it for me, thanks man! We saw "Intermittent knocks detected" (or something simliar to that). I'm gonna keep an eye on it and hope it doesn't pop up again.
