photoshop issue

I'm running CS and I've encountered a snag when I try to simply lower my freakin car!

When using the magnetic lasso, it only allows me to assign a certain # of points, then the image goes completely blank white.

what gives?

the image I'm trying to edit is this one, in case anyone feels like doing my work for me :)

i have cs2. underneith the color squares
click "edit in standard mode". you might be in "quick mask mode".

post up your pic anyways.
